Adtech FRP Pty Ltd is proud to be chosen as the Australian distributor for Advanced Valve Technology (AVT). Fibreglass reinforced epoxy is the choice for many corrosive applications, and availability of the AVT valves means that Adtech can now supply both GRE valves and GRE pipe for your corrosion-resistant system.
AVT Fibreglass Ball and Butterfly Valves incorporate all the features which users have come to expect from high performance valves combined with the significant advantages available from reinforced thermoset resin systems tailored to provide optimum characteristics for specific applications
The Key to corrosion-resistant performance: Carefully Specified Body, Disc and Trim Materials
The range of AVT's resin systems used in the moulding of bodies and balls or discs includes glass reinforced epoxy, glass reinforced vinylester, glass reinforced Novolac epoxy and glass reinforced Novolac vinylester combinations. Each system has been scientifically tailored to enhance its basic chemical resistance, operating temperature range, pressure rating and fire performance.
In addition, all grades include additives designed to achieve excellent resistance to Ultra Violet light, crack propagation and abrasion. Continuous research and development ensures the highest possible performance level at all times.
The outstanding mechanical performance of AVT's Ball and Butterfly Valves have been made possible by the unique moulding system developed by the company. In general, performance-critical moulded components are not subjected to any post moulding modification thereby preserving the mechanical and chemical integrity of the design.
ADVANTAGES
Remarkable internal and external corrosion resistance eliminates the need for external coatings and protective linings.
Excellent tensile strength maintained through service temperature range from -40oC to +130oC allowing operation at full rated pressure throughout the range.
Good impact resistance allows use in rugged environments,
Very significant weight savings leading to very significant reduction of installation and delivery costs.
Very low thermal conductivity eliminating the need for external lagging leading to further cost savings,
Good abrasion resistance providing long service life.
Body Design
AVT's advanced designs are not only the result of the development of a uniquely efficient moulding process but also an innovative approach to tooling. The careful tool design has made it possible to mould a range of bodies to meet each of the leading recognised standards. Both the ball and butterfly valves are direct replacements for metal valves made to ANSI 150, ANSI 300, BS PN 10, BS PN 16, DIN PNIO/16, the new International (European) Standard and JIS in respect of face to face dimensions, bolt circles and bolt sizes.
This adherence to specification simplifies the task of installing valves in all types of pipe applications and offers the safety requirement of preventing the use of valves with lower pressure limits in high rated applications.
Operator Design
Corrosion Resistant, light weight levers are offered for all ball and butterfly valves Butterfly valve levers can be locked in the open, closed or any other position.
Any standard actuator with sufficient power can be fitted. Standard gear boxes can be fitted directly on to the valve. Shaft extensions manufactured from reinforced composites can be supplied for buried pipe service.
The Standard Design Range of Ball Valves with full Port specification is available in sizes from 2 inch to 8 inch to match ANSI 150 and ANSI 300 flange dimensions and from 50 mm to 200 mm to match metric specifications. Full-Port ball valves to match 1/2 inch 1 and 11/2 inch specifications with a variety of terminations are also available.
The Standard Design Range of Butterfly Valves is available in sizes from 3 inch to 12 inch to match ANSI 150 and from 75mm to 300 mm to match metric specifications.
Larger sized Ball and butterfly valves can be manufactured as special orders.
Quality Assurance: Design, Manufacture and Test
All Advanced Valve Technologies' valves are designed to have a minimum safety factor equal to 4 times rated operating pressure, at ambient temperature.
The design, manufacturing and test methods used in the production of mouldings, shafts, seats and other components are in strict accordance with ISO 9001 type procedures. Certificates of Compliance can be provided on request.
Every valve is individually tested in accordance with the test procedure appropriate to the relevant Standard and carries a permanent serial number identification.
