Project 58500116 Completion Report

Centron® Fibreglass Pipe Delivered to Adtech yard in Bullsbrook for sorting into batch codes, installation of Australian-manufactured sleeving, marking and rebundling for freight forwarding.

Adtech walked all the computer generated pipeline routes with an environmentalist. During this walk decisions were made on the actual pipeline route, dependent on areas identified as environmentally sensitive, existing disturbed areas and suitability of actual terrain. The pipeline route was marked with dye for the installers to follow. The route was GPS logged, 1000v cable locations and road crossing positions were also identified and logged. Adtech marked the actual road crossings with flags for installation of crossings by others. GPS data on the above, collected by Adtech and logged into a compact computer was later transmitted to NGIS.

Centron® Fibreglass Pipe was delivered to Adtech lay-down area on BWI for loading onto Adtech pipe trailers, stringing out along pipeline routes, make-up and then abrasion-protection of couplings.

Adtech performed the hydrotests for each of the 35 flowlines, including the coordination of the water tanker and shut-in of the well. Where possible, while the hydrotest was taking place, Adtech purged the redundant steel flowline. Once the hydrotest was completed, the new GRE flowline was tied in, the flowline operator notified and the hydrotest details recorded and reported to ChevronTexaco.

While each of the 35 flowlines was being hydrotested, the flowlines were re-walked, to visually inspect for quality control, to log the actual flowline route, to log and mark areas requiring pipeline anchors or pipeline supports, and to log pipe batch code locations. These details were recorded and transmitted electronically to NGIS and reported to ChevronTexaco.
